This second edition of “roam around Barbados” is a comprehensive Caribbean travel book. This edition includes new attractions and activities, a new chapter with an historical background to Barbados and a new dining guide to the many restaurants on the island. The authors live in Barbados and have personally experienced many of the attractions available to tourists. All of the photographs in this Barbados travel guide were taken by the authors.

The first chapter in this Barbados book, “Information About Barbados”, includes a map of the island, general information (banking & shopping hours, currency exchange rates, departure taxes, advice about acceptable attire in public places, entry & wedding requirements, and a whole lot of other useful stuff that will help to ensure that you have an enjoyable visit to the island and make the most of your time there.

The second chapter, “Background to Barbados” is new to this edition, and contains a historical background of the island.

The third chapter in this Caribbean travel book, “Bridgetown”, includes a detailed map of the capital, plus a description of the town and amenities to be found there. Barbados has three other important towns, Holetown, Speightstown and Oistins, each of which have dedicated chapters.

Barbados is a very beautiful island with many fabulous beaches, several of which are shown in the photographs included in the “Beaches” chapter of this Caribbean travel guide book. The chapter includes general descriptions of the amenities and sea conditions at each beach. The chapter “Water Based Activities” describes all of the things available to do in and on the water in Barbados.
